Gordon Kangas lives in Ypsilanti Township and is a lifelong resident of the Ypsi area. He hails from Pittsfield Township and attended Eastern Michigan University, where he studied business and the arts, eventually graduating magna cum laude. After college, Gordon founded his first company at age 22, helping tech companies, inventors, and trade groups to improve their presentation skills. He eventually shifted gears, however, and earned a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He now works as an attorney in Ann Arbor and is a member of the Ypsilanti and Washtenaw County Bar Associations, among others.
Gordon has been married to his wife Anna for eight years and they have four children.
